Why "Mariner's"? A Name From the Sea
Warpath Coffee was founded by Tej Gill, a retired U.S. Navy SEAL who spent his career in and under the water. Before there were SEALs, there were sailors — mariners who crossed oceans on coffee and grit, standing watch through the night with a hot mug against the cold.
Mariner's Blend is named for them: the watch-standers, the deck crews, the men and women who learned that good coffee isn't a luxury at sea — it's equipment. This is the blend we'd want on the midwatch. Strong enough to keep you sharp. Smooth enough that you'd finish the pot.

Roasted the Old Way
In 1864, a New York inventor named Jabez Burns patented the first modern coffee roaster — the drum design that made even, repeatable roasting possible and turned American coffee into an industry. Mariner's Blend is roasted in the USA in that American drum-roasting tradition: small batches, slow and even, no shortcuts. The slow drum roast is why a coffee this dark finishes this smooth — the sugars develop instead of burning.
How to Brew It
Drip / auto-brewer (the daily driver): 2 tablespoons (10g) per 6oz of water, medium grind. If it ever tastes flat, use more coffee — not a darker button.
French press (maximum body): 1:15 ratio — 30g coffee to 450ml water, coarse grind, 4-minute steep. This is the roast French presses were made for.
Cold brew: 1:8 ratio, coarse grind, 16 hours in the fridge. The chocolate notes concentrate beautifully — no sweetener needed.
